stays in hotels second quarter of 2018
In the
second quarter of 2018 there was a decrease of 10.8% in the number of guests
and a decrease of 4.3% in the number of overnights as compared with the same
quarter in 2017. It means that the average number of overnights per guest has
increase from 2.5 days in 2017 to 2.6 days in 2018 at the same period.
Hotel
guests in 2nd quarter of 2018
The largest
decrease has affected mainly to Kommune Kujalleq region where the number of guests decrease from
4,629 in 2017 to 3,236 in 2018. That corresponds to the decrease of 30.1% on
that region.
It is
primarily local guests who have stayed at hotels on second quarter (Q2). The
decrease among the Greenlandic guests on Q2 was 7.3% in while among the international
guests was 16.3%.
